More than just a mission

We believe that "eco-friendly" is more than just a mission - it's a lifestyle and a responsibility. Each day we have an opportunity to make an impact, why not take it?

So before you label us "do-gooders" and move on, let me tell you....We weren't always like this.  Our garbage (and recycling) bins were overflowing, but I was breaking down all of those Amazon boxes, so I was doing something for the environment, right? As I watched us throw paper towel after paper towel away I could literally visualize not only all the trees my family was independently destroying but all the money we were throwing in the garbage (literally). There had to be a better way! Little by little we started to introduce eco friendly alternatives to our daily life and you know what? It was surprisingly simple, cost effective and made our lives so much easier (you can't run out of paper towels - just throw them in the wash!) So our mission? It's simple. To help other busy, cost conscious families and individuals find their balance of convenience though eco friendly.   It's to provide their kids (4 legged included) with healthy habits, non toxic products and wholesome foods. Ready to dip your toe in? Jump right in? Don't worry.. we got you!

The B&T Way

Minimal Waste

Let's be serious - zero waste? Is that truly sustainable? (Ha! See what I did there? Get it...we are a eco store.. ok I digress) Maybe it is for some, but for most of us we are just doing the best we can, modeling good behaviors for our kids while moving a mile a minute.  So at Birch & Twine you'll find we like to say minimal waste...  Why?  It's easier to live up to! ...and I don't know about you, but I don't need any additional stresses to live up to!

Sustainable

We give and we take right? So how come it feels like we take take take from nature and never seem to give enough? At Birch & Twine we find a balance between the two.  If we can use products that give back, whether in a monetary donation to an environmental non profit or even just in a quick growing sustainable resource like bamboo, we are going to take it! Small choices make a large impact.

Reusable

I blew my kid's minds (and let's be honest, mine too) when we learned that the US has a long history of shipping garbage oversees to less fortunate countries.  So we thought, what if we use just a little less plastic?  A little less paper and hey here's an idea, even reuse items like sandwich bags and paper towels.  And hey, it's not just good for the environment, but for your wallet as well!
